A program to benefit our local financially disadvantaged senior citizens
Involving community leaders and businesses in our organizational initiatives has been a goal throughout our long history. From your experience within the community, you understand how important the arts are to the residents of the Twin Tiers and how crucial it is to make sure they remain a prominent feature for years to come.
This season marks the fourth year of our “Send-a-Senior” program. This program allows senior citizens, who normally could not afford to attend one of our concerts, the chance to attend for free. This is done specifically through the generous donations of area businesses like yours. Last season, these donations provided more than 20 satisfied senior citizens with a total of more than 50 concert experiences; this season, with your help, we hope to double those numbers. This program is gaining momentum, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank WENY-TV, Chemung Canal Trust Company, F.M. Howell & Company, Kent Brown Toyota-Scion, Martinec Building and Remodeling, Caywoods Funeral Home and Gardens, Philips Funeral Home and Cremation Services, the Radisson Hotel, and Willow Creek Golf Cub for leading the way. Our area seniors thank you and hope you will participate this year as well!
We are asking that you consider purchasing either a single concert ticket at a reduced rate of $15, a full Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes season subscription at a reduced rate of $75. In turn, your purchased ticket would be offered to one of our many registered senior citizens so that he or she can enjoy an evening of great classical music performed by our area’s own professional orchestra.
In addition to supporting the orchestra and allowing less fortunate residents of our area the opportunity to experience the arts, your business name will be listed in a special thank-you section in each of our concert programs throughout the season. Our programs are seen by thousands of people over the course of our four-concert season. Not only will you be recognized as a “Send-a-Senior” participant, but your business will also be listed on our website in our business partner section, along with a link to your website or contact information if you don’t have one.
Each concert is an opportunity to relax, reconnect, or reawaken your spirit. Orchestra fans enjoy romantic evenings, introductions to the classics, and solace from life’s daily routine. We hope you consider taking part in a most fascinating project – our community’s own first-rate, professional symphony orchestra.
Please feel free to contact the orchestra office if you have any questions – 936-2873 or info@osfl.org.
